Our Bedok Kampong House Singapore

Our Bedok kampong house address was officially changed from 614-3 Bedok Road to 10J Bedok Road sometime in February of 1964

Thanks to our late father's meticulous keeping of records, we are able to know something more about this Bedok kampong house.. built on Mukim (or district) 27 on lot 143.25 on land owned by a Mr Quek Tock Seng. The house, a squatter-type wooden plank and zinc-roofed bungalow was purchased on February 1953 by our grandfather Mr Peter Tan Piah Eng for his wife, our grandmother Mdm Chan Ah Siew. The family moved in in mid November 1954. Mdm Chan took over ownership in August 1955 and then transferred to our father Tan Kim Suan in December 1962.. the address of the house at that time was 614-3 Bedok Road - some enclosed documents to share Purchase price of this house 'by the sea' for S$11,560 with receipt of Feb 2, 1953 Family moved in in mid November 1954 based on this letter our father wrote to the bank
